Zoey and Graham are brother and sister (we believe) as they were dropped off at the shelter together about 3 1/2 years ago.  They are a little shy but have both resided in our free roaming room and enjoy the companionship of other cats.  Zoey's best friend CJ just passes away and it would be nice if Zoey and Graham could possibly be adopted together.  Graham is the larger of the two at about 17 lbs.  He enjoys watching the birds in the window or sitting and cleaning himself or scurrying across the room to his next adventure.  Zoey is the curious one and always looking to see what's going on.  Always alert she is a sweet girl.  Her buddy CJ was her cuddling buddy....he passed away 4/17 and she is feeling the loss.  Hoping that 2017 is the year that someone falls in love with both Zoey and Graham.

Capri is a 6-7 year old Calico. She came to us in February 2017 from a couple who was having their 1st baby.
They were concerned about having pets and having a child.  They loved Capri and she was very well cared for, but we agreed to take her in.
Capri was totally confused in the beginning but has completely adjusted to shelter living.
She hasn't been around children before, so would probably be better with older teens.  Sweet girl.
Seven was left behind in an apartment complex and a tenant was caring for her as an outside cat as she had several cats of her own already.
When she moved out she was concerned no one would care for her so asked if we would take her in.
She was converted in fleas and ticks.
Seven is approximately 4-6 years of age and at this time has only been with us about a week.
She is a little shy, but is warming up.  Seven is a very good looking kitty.
Given time she I'm sure she'll do fine in most environments.
Spanky is a 4-6 year old tabby and white male.  He was brought in as a stray.
Turns out he was already neutered, however no one ever claimed him.
Spanky is one of the sweetest cats I've every met.
He loves to be fed Temptation cat treats by hand one by one.
He loves being held, and is a real lap kitty.
He is a larger boy and would make a great addition to most situations.
He is also known to share a meal or two with the staff.
Midnight is a younger black female kitty.  Midnight is FIV positive.
She came from a PA rescue as she was left behind by her family.  Midnight is otherwise healthy.
FIV is NOT a death sentence for most cats, so please don't let that deter you from adopting an FIV positive kitty.
She is super sweet and very friendly.  She is all black with the exception of a few white hairs across her chest.
Needs a home with no other cats or another FIV cat.
INDOOR cat only. GREAT companion!!

DOGS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION please put (WHEN LOOKING TO ADOPT A DOG, PLEASE PLAN ON SEVERAL VISITS AS ADOPTING A DOG IS A BIG COMMITMENT AND NOT TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY.
THANK YOU!  YOU CAN LEARN A LOT BY SPENDING SOME TIME WITH OUR STAFF AND WATCHING AND LEARNING.  YOU'LL BE HAPPY YOU DID!

Champ is a little over 3 years of age and has been at the shelter awhile now.
He had a rough start when he arrived.  He came to us from an owner who was way too young to commit to raising a dog.
She wasn't a bad person, but she didn't know how to care for a dog like Champ unfortunately.
Champ was crated more often than not, plus he wasn't neutered, nor had he ever been vaccinated or ever been to a Vet.
He was one nervous nelly.  He had stomach issues, behavioral issues, you name it.
We have never given up on Champ and it has paid off.
What does Champ need?
He needs someone with dog experience and commitment and who will continue the work we have done with him.
We care enough about our dogs that we hired Steve Delsavio of Pack Leaders (works with Cesar Milan)
to work with some of our dogs including Champ.
Champ is a great dog for someone who is truly committed to his welfare and his training.
He needs alpha people in his life.  He loves walks, and he loves going for a drive.
Half way down the road, you may find your new buddy asleep on the back seat.
Champ could be your new best friend, but needs someone who's willing to learn what he has learned and become his partner.
Rosie is a 3-4 year old American Pit Bull Terrier/Mix.
Rosie is a super sweet/smart girl.
If you are possibly interested in adopting this sweet girl,
please call the shelter at 845-294-3984 to make an appointment
to meet Rosie.  Rosie is definitley worth taking the time to meet.
